WHAT IS ULTIMATE FIELD DAY?
The Ultimate Field Day is a fun, interactive multi-sport skills challenge for kids and adults of all ages and ability levels. The activities include a series of football, soccer, basketball and rock climbing challenges. Each station is timed and has a points system, allowing you to play against your group for the high score!
WHAT DOES IT COST TO PLAY?
Registration is $10, however, discounted team rates will be offered. You may register online as well as onsite on the day of the event. Online registration will end at 12am on September 6th. To register online, click here.
CAN I PAY MY REGISTRATION BY CREDIT?
All online registration will be done via credit card. On-site registration will accept both cash and credit cards.
WHAT MAKES UP A “TEAM?”
Any person that you would like to bring with you to Field Day may be on your team! That means family members, friends, co-workers, and children. Your team can be made up of anywhere from two to six participants.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
You will compete with and/or against your team members at each station. Each member of your team will receive a score card and will go through a series of sports challenges that are suited for all ability levels. Each station is timed and awarded points. Points are awarded per participant based on completion of a game. Your scores will be measured individually at each station.
DO I HAVE TO PLAY EVERY GAME?
Of course not! Each team member is afforded one turn per station and can pick and choose which games to play within the Field Day event. It is not a head to head competition against other teams or individuals. Your team can participate in an event together or individually.
WHAT ARE MY PARKING OPTIONS AT THE EVENT?
Free parking is available for the event in the parking garage for The Thinkery children’s museum (1830 Simond Ave Austin, TX 78723). The garage is located to the north of the museum on McBee Street.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THE FIELD DAY COURSE?
If your entire team participates in each station’s event, it should take you approximately two (2) hours to complete the course.
WHAT CAN/CAN’T I BRING TO FIELD DAY?
You are allowed to bring folding chairs and tent, as well as coolers for beverages or snacks, although food and beverage will be available for purchase. No alcoholic beverages may be brought in to the event. Also no weapons of any kind are permitted on the premises.
CAN I BRING MY PET?
In accordance with Mueller Lake Park rules, pets are permitted on the trails, lawns or in designated pet areas. Owners are required to collect their pet’s waste and dispose of it in appropriate trash receptacles.
